Sigh ... yes, our xanga ... the personal, sweet xanga is looking awefully plasticy of late isn't it.  I would have to agree that they need to find a xanga personality for us here... not the hype of facebook ... though if they had something like doodly add ons like yahoo has that we could sit and doodle on the same board at the same time with our dear friends around the world ... or deface a photo ... or play noughts and crosses live ......that would be an amazing adventure.

This site is a combination of Myspace and Facebook. Along with these two we've named, there also are supposed to be about 4 more sites with similar "gifting" possibilities.

Personally I prefer yearbook over both myspace and facebook. Always have, perhaps I always will. I prefer almost all sites to those two sites. But my point is that Yearbook had "gifts" you could give your friends LOOOOOOONG before facebook got the idea. Yearbook's gifts are very very very easy to give. And the points needed to buy them, are easily attained. (every time you log in, go to someone's site, rate someone, talk to someone (message them) etc... you get points, which they call "bucks" or something.) For example, I've been a member of the site for over a year and if I hadn't spent the "bucks" on anything, I'd have over a million points. You can buy many many things with these. And it's been rumored that if you don't spend them but you continue to build them up, that they eventually translate into the real world. I heard tell of several people who got clothing out of the deal. But I'm not a "good" enough member to earn that many points. I just go every now and again.

Anyway...

The idea is alright... but I do think that Xanga is a bit to far behind the game.
